July meeting minutes

7/13/17 pm @ Guston’s 16 members and 3 guests present.

Meeting called to order by Scott at 7:55 p.m. Waived reading of June minutes. Minutes will be posted on the website on the blog.

Commodore: Scott reported the Joy, Ed, and Ardythe were not able to attend the meeting so he would share their information. June and July raft ups and races were discussed as well as the 4th of July picnic. Upcoming race 7/15; Skippers meeting at 10:00 a.m.

Vice Commodore: Joy absent.

Fleet captain: Ed absent.

Purser: Ardythe absent. Jordon reported.

Raft up: We have theme raft ups and get togethers coming up. 7/22 Louisiana, 7/23 AYC lunch 1:00 p.m., 8/5 Jimmy Buffett

Sea Scouts: none

Foghorn: Brad will send out an e-vite for the AYC lunch. Please RSVP. Foghorn committee continues to use the phone message system and the e-vites through email. Suzanne is looking into name tags. Group discussion about types of name tags and cost.

Old Business: Brad shared Commodore’s Ball information and asked again for volunteers to help organize. Scott talked about where to put our information now that the Map has been taken down from bath house. Bulletin board by upper parking can be used. We need someone to create a flyer or something to put in on the board.

New Business: Scott would like those interested to meet and discuss how to grow the membership. Email Scott if you are interested swidmier@gmail.com.

Membership: Bob, Georgianne, and Mike were in attendance.
