SWSC April Meeting

4/12/18 pm @ Guston’s 15 members present

Meeting called to order by Brad at 7:49 p.m. Waived reading of March minutes. Minutes are posted on the website under “Club News”.

Commodore: Steve absent, but Brad talked about events coming up on the calendar in April and May. See the website for details. We are going to try to make up the race this Saturday 4/14.

Vice Commodore: Brad also reported and Louis shared about the upcoming May 5th event--the dragon boat fundraiser at Dallas Landing near downtown Acworth that we can participate in and also have our club represented at a booth. Louise’s boat is the Purple Dragon. Susanne also has a boat to sponsor. You can paddle or just donate. Brad will send out an e-vite for this.

Fleet captain: Susanne unable to attend, but Brad shared about upcoming races. There are some results posted.

Purser: Ardythe absent, but she sent the info: Balance $2447.15 as of 3/31/18. Dues to Ardythe ($50).

Raft up: Joe reported that the 1st raftup is 5/12. No host, potluck dinner to share. Bring own plates, plasticware. 6/2 is a new raft up theme--Memorial. See Joe if you’d like to sign up to host the remaining one date open (8/25). Calendar will be on the website.

Sea Scouts: No report.

Foghorn: Brad and Mary are continuing the call-outs. Please see Brad if you aren’t getting phone calls and/or emails.

Old Business: None.

New Business: Allan offered to clean bottom of boats for a donation. He has scuba gear. See Allan if interested.

Membership: Kathleen and Tracy rejoined the club.
